Winter alert for bird flu in Delhi sounded in Oct

Bird flu was confirmed in Delhi on Monday but the animal husbandry department had issued an alert on avian influenza last October. It had written to the forest department, Delhi Parks and Garden Society, Delhi Development Authority and New Delhi Municipal Council about a “high risk of occurrence of avian influenza during winter” and advised regular surveillance.
