Haryana not checking river pollutants: DJB to SC

Facing a water crisis due to “deliberate inaction” by Haryana government in containing discharge of pollutants in the Yamuna, the Delhi Jal Board has told the Supreme Court that this has resulted in rise of ammonia level in water which could not be purified in its treatment plants and sought a direction to the neighbouring state to immediate take steps to curb the pollution.
