Delhi: 'Deaths due to coal pollution may double in 9 yrs'

The number of premature deaths occurring from coal-related air pollution in Delhi could almost double in the next nine years, with 5,280 premature deaths expected till 2030, a new study shows. The report comes in the light of India’s plans to expand the coal fleet by another 64GW between 2020 and 2030.
