‘Suspend Tihar officials for scheming with Chandras’

With a probe by Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana pointing to connivance of some of the Tihar jail officials with real estate major Unitech’s expromoters Sanjay and Ajay Chandra to allow them to “operate” from inside the prison, the Supreme Court Wednesday directed initiation of criminal proceedings against the officials and said they should be immediately put under suspension.
